From March 17 to March 23, 2013 within the TEMPUS program « Support of innovations through improvement of regulatory framework for higher education in Ukraine", in the implementation of which National University “Odesa Law Academy” is involved, study visit of the Dean of Faculty of Civil and Economic Justice Andriy Neugodnikov and Associate Professor of Department of International Law and International Relations Nataliya Sevostyanova to the Polytechnic University of Porto (Portugal) was held.
Representatives of National University "Odesa Law Academy" got acquainted with the peculiarities of procedures of intellectual property protection in Portugal and the structural units of the University, who have successfully patented their innovations. Also as part of the program a visit to "Technological City" - a business incubator for the initial support of enterprises implementing research findings into practice was carried out.
Representatives of investment companies Portugal Ventures - John Pereira, Invicta Angels – Nuno Aroteya, COTEC - Pedro Vilarinyo and others attended the meetings of the working group.
Also during the visit, meetings with staff of the Faculty of Economics of the University, and a round table dedicated to the development of training courses on business and intellectual property law were held.
According to the results of the visit recommendations to improve the current Ukrainian legislation, regulating the commercialization of innovations will be made.
