In the framework of cooperation of the National University "Odessa Law Academy" andThe Europa Institutat theUniversity of Zurich(Switzerland), an intensive training course on the European integration took place from 11 to 25 May 2017.
Collaborators of The Europa Institutat theUniversity of Zurich Tobias Naef, Antoine Schnegg, Jonas Racine and Corrine Reber were invited as leading experts. Odessa School of Law was represented by professors of the Department of International Law and International Relations and theDepartmentof European andComparative Lawof the National University "Odessa Law Academy".
The students, post-graduates and young professors of the National University "Odessa Law Academy" had an opportunity to improve their knowledge on the history of European integration, as well as trends of its development, to deepen knowledge in certain branches of EU legislation. Special attention was paid to content and specifics of the implementation of the Association Agreement between the European Union and Ukraine (The Program of the course made up 44 academic hours).
After the completion of the course students received the certificates. Despite the exam period, the program of the course was successfully completed by more than 30 students, post-graduate students and young professors of the National University "Odessa Law Academy".
Also Swiss and Ukrainian colleagues discussed prospects and directions of cooperation in the future. The Swiss side announced the receipt of a new grant from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland to expand cooperation with the universities of the Eastern Partnership countries. Highly appreciating the results of the previous three-year cooperation, the Swiss and Ukrainian sides agreed to prolong cooperation for the next three years, first of all, in the field of academic mobility.
