Partners of the National University "Odesa Law Academy" under the USAID program "Justice for All" have been collaborating with the T.M.C. Asser Institute (The Hague, Netherlands) since September 2022 to enhance the capacity of interested Ukrainian legal schools in teaching international criminal law. This collaboration involves engaging teachers and students from Ukrainian legal schools in joint activities such as workshops, guest lectures, etc., conducted in English to facilitate professional networking between Ukrainian educators and international experts in the field of international criminal law.
UACES (University Association for Contemporary European Studies) is a global membership organisation for scholars, students and practitioners interested in all aspects of Europe and the European Union. The main activities of UACES include:
- Organising events and conferences
- Providing funding for research activities
- Collaboration in the publication of books and journals
- Supporting a number of research networks
The National University "Odesa Law Academy" has joined the National Council of University Research Advisors (NCURA) Initiative for the South Caucasus and Ukraine.
The main goal of the NCURA South Caucasus and Ukraine Initiative is to stimulate and strengthen partnerships between academic institutions in the South Caucasus and Ukraine. The initiative is implemented by the University of Business and Technology in Tbilisi, with the support of the US Embassy and the NCURA headquarters.
On 12th and 14th March 2024, Natasha Costello, an English lawyer and law lecturer with over 20 years of experience in teaching law and legal skills in English, held lectures on the English Legal System for all students, PhD students, and academic staff of the National University “Odesa Law Academy.” These lectures were held at the invitation of Daria Minchenko, the Head of the International Relations Office.
On 15 March 2024, the National University "Odesa Law Academy" hosted a meeting with writer, journalist and political analyst Paul Hockenos (USA) with the students of the university.
Paul Hockenos is a writer, journalist and political analyst based in Berlin and New York, working in Germany and Central and Eastern Europe. His work has been published in The New York Times, Newsweek, The Nation, Foreign Policy, New Statesman, The Christian Science Monitor and The Chronicle of Higher Education.
On 22 February 2024, Professor Enrico Albanesi, Professor of the Department of Constitutional Law at the University of Genoa (Italy), researcher and co-leader of the IALS Legal Reform Project at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (IALS), University of London, visited the National University of Odesa Law Academy.
Rector of the National University "Odesa Law Academy" Oleh Todoshchak and Head of the International Relations Office Daria Minchenko met with the professor. During the meeting, they expressed gratitude for the support of Ukrainian education and science in difficult times for Ukraine and discussed areas of further cooperation with the University of Genoa.
