Department of Maritime and Customs Law

Head of the Department, Doctor of Law, Professor,
Yeugen V. DODIN
The department is headed by Yevgen V.Dodin, Doctor
of Law, Professor, Honored Scientist of Ukraine, Honorary Professor of ONLA,
judge of International maritime court, scientific consultant of the Verhovna
Rada, the Supreme Court of Ukraine and State customs service of Ukraine.
In addition to major subjects (Maritime Law,
Customs Law) the Department staff developed and deliver a number of special
courses: Responsibility for Smuggling in Ukraine, Organization of Customs
Service in Ukraine, Customs Clearing of Goods, Other Articles and Vehicles,
International Customs Law, Customs Law, Customs Policy of Ukraine, Customs
Operations on Transport. These courses provide an overall training of
specialists in order to provide law in customs services, as well as in sea
and inland waters shipping.
Customs brokers’ courses were organized and
successfully function at the department. The department has at its disposal
a training centre and a laboratory located on board the ship of
‘Lisozavodsk’ owned by ONLA.
The staff of the Department of Maritime and Customs
Law have prepared a number of textbooks and training aids: “The Legal Status
of the Individuals Working on Ships”, “Legal Regulations on Searching and
Life-saving at Sea”; “Geneva Convention on Maritime Law”; “Legal Regulations
of State Administration of Sea and River Transport of Ukraine”; “Order and
Conditions of Service in Customs Bodies of Ukraine”; “Expert and Specialist
in Customs Service” which are in great demand of practical workers.
There are two Doctors of Law, seven Candidates of
Law and ten assistant lecturers at the department.
The staff of the department of Maritime and Customs

B.A.Kormych; Candidate of Law, Professor S.O.Kuznetsov; Candidate of Law,
Associate Professor V.V.Haverskiy; Candidate of Law, Associate Professor
V.V.Serafimov; Candidate of Law, Associate Professor Y.V.Sergeyev; Candidate
of Law, Associate Professor V.V.Prokopenko, Candidate of Law, Associate
Professor O.P.Fedotov, Candidate of Law, Associate Professor H.L.Karpenko;
assistant lecturers I.V.Mishchenko, N.O.Koval, O.V.Popov, D.A.Ivanov and
O.S.Krushchuk.
