International cooperation
International cooperation has been an integral part of our activities since the Academy became an independent institution of higher learning. Since that time we have managed to establish and maintain good partnership relations with many Universities and organizations all over the world.

The first 1997/1998 academic year was marked primarily with organizational activities. We disseminated information about a newly established institution of legal education throughout the world. Newsletters were sent to the Embassies, Law schools, Universities, research and analytical centers and international foundations. Promotional campaign involved publication of brochures, leaflets and articles in local, national and foreign newspapers and via the Internet.
We got a response from numerous foreign partners, offering various forms of cooperation and joint activities. The first offers came from International Research Exchange Program (IREX), the British Council, Department for International Development of the United Kingdom (DfID), US Information Agency (USIA), Tempus-Tacis, the Renaissance Foundation, Red Cross Delegation in Ukraine, etc. Together with these organizations the Academy started implementing long-term and short-term educational, training, informational and analytical projects.

In 1998/1999 academic years the Academy was expanding international cooperation, covering new areas. We established partnership relations with the Universities and research institutions in Germany, such as: Goethe Institut in Ukraine, Konrad Adenauer Stiftung in Ukraine, Hans Seidel Stiftung, DAAD. Due to their organizational and financial support the faculty, staff and students of the Academy got an opportunity to visit Germany as interns at the Law school of the Hamburg University. An Austrian Osterreichiche Kooperation organization offered grants for the professors and students of the Academy to come to the Institute of International Law and International Organizations at the Law faculty of the Salzburg University in Austria.
The visiting students and faculty exchanged experience with the Austrian colleagues and improved their German language skills. Some representatives of the Academy took part in the Fourth Summer Austrian-Ukrainian University for language studies, sponsored by the Austrian Ministry of Education and Science. Upon completion the participants were given Certificates. With the support of the French Embassy in Ukraine and Alliance Francaise (Odessa) the Academy established partnership relations with several Law schools in France.
