The event took place at the premises of the National University "Odessa Law Academy" and was attended by scholars and specialists in Maritime Law.

Thus, Joanna Siekiera, Doctor of Public Policy of the Bergen Research Group, Faculty of Law of the University of Bergen (Bergen, Norway) drew the attention of the academic community to the legal consequences of ocean changes in the South Pacific region, and a student of Vilnius University (Lithuania) Julia Kolomiets held legal analysis of the sustainable development of contemporary shipping. Ukrainian national school of Maritime Law was represented by Irina Varikasha, graduate student of the Department of Maritime and Customs Law of the National University “Odessa Law Academy”, she considered the legal positions of the parties in the case of delimitation in the Black Sea (Romania v. Ukraine). With a glance at the global nature of the problems associated with Contemporary Maritime Law, the participants of the conference prepared their reports and articles in English, those efforts will be shortly published in the international academic legal journal “Lex Portus”.
