The Odessa Coordinator of the Project ERASMUS+ KA2, vice-Rector for international relations professor Viacheslav Tuliakov, being invited as individual expert of the Fourteenth United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (Kyoto Congress), took part in the preparatory meeting of the Congress` participants.
During the event representatives of UNODC and Japan`s government had discussed some issues of the hybrid mode Congress` Agenda regarding its fulfillment. Most interested problems to analyze were highlited. Among them: the experience of the Doha Declaration as a point of departure towards the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals \ Comprehensive strategies for crime prevention towards social and economic development \ Integrated approaches to challenges facing the criminal justice system.
Individual experts in the field of crime prevention and the treatment of offenders were invited to the Fourteenth UN Crime Congress by the UN Secretary-General in their individual capacity and have the right to participate, without the right to vote, in the deliberations of the Congress, its committees, subcommittees and working groups.
