The main goal of the department is to provide high-quality training for higher education students by introducing information and communication and digital technologies into the university's educational process, developing digital and management competencies, innovative thinking and practice-oriented skills.

The main academic disciplines of the department: Machine Learning, Neural Network Technologies, Cloud and High-Performance Computing, IT Project Management, Optimization Methods, Management Decision-Making Technologies, Software Marketing, Strategic Management, Startup Management, Computer Networks, Digital Technologies in Business, Data Mining, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Complex Systems Modeling, Simulation Modeling, Algorithms and Data Structures, Digital Economics, Mathematical Modeling, Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics, Numerical Methods and others.

The content of the disciplines taught at the department is focused on training future specialists who must not only understand the technical and mathematical foundations of intelligent technologies, but also be able to apply them in practice: from data preparation and model selection to training, validation and interpretation of the results obtained.

The department has created an educational and scientific environment for carrying out practical work and research projects in the field of artificial intelligence and modeling in various industries. The department's teachers, together with practicing specialists and representatives of employers (Odesa IT Family, EPAM, Netpeak, KeepSolid, etc.), involve applicants in participation in scientific circles, hackathons and project initiatives, provide mentoring support to startup teams, promote the development of applied competencies and integration of acquired knowledge into real-world problems of business, the public sector and society as a whole.

The scientific topic of the department: "Applied aspects of the use of artificial intelligence methods and mathematical modeling in social processes."
