The Department was established in January 1998 in order to ensure a comprehensive approach to educational programs and scientific developments, to coordinate the process of studying the problems of the judiciary, prosecutor's office and advocacy. Today the Organization of Judicial, Law Enforcement Bodies and Advocacy Department is a part of the Faculty of Advocacy and Anti-Corruption Activities, and trains full-time and part-time specialists at all faculties of the National University «Odesa Law Academy».
The main goal of the Department is to form a system of knowledge in the field of organization of judiciary, law enforcement bodies and advocacy, to train highly qualified scientific and scientific and pedagogical personnel, as well as to participate in the scientific and research work of the University.
The Department provides teaching of the following disciplines: Judicial and Law Enforcement Bodies of Ukraine; Judicial and Law Enforcement Bodies; Judiciary in Ukraine; Advocacy and advocacy in Ukraine; Advocacy and advocacy activities; Advocacy in Ukraine; Advocacy ethics; History of the Ukrainian Bar; The profession of a lawyer: practical skills; Advocacy in the field of human rights protection; Current issues of legal regulation of advocacy; Lawyer in civil proceedings; Free legal aid in Ukraine; Professional ethics and disciplinary liability of a lawyer; Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine; Professional ethics of law enforcement officers; Organizational support for anti-corruption activities; Alternative settlement of legal disputes; Corruption risks in the justice system; Organization and activities of the State Bureau of Investigation; Anti-corruption activities; Anti-corruption activities: theory and practice; Anti-corruption activities of the SAPO and NABU; Prosecutor’s support of public prosecution in court; European standards of the right to a fair trial.
