RUDYK MARK
Director
The Mykolaiv Educational and Scientific Institute of Law is a structural unit of the National University “Odesa Law Academy,” providing high-quality legal education and scientific research. The Institute offers programs at the Bachelor and Master levels in Law and supports advanced professional development, allowing students to deepen their knowledge, skills, and practical competencies.
The Institute comprises three departments: Humanities, Criminal Law and Criminal-Legal Disciplines, and General, Constitutional, and Civil Law, as well as a library and the “Themis” Cultural Center. It is the successor of the Mykolaiv Evening Law College, founded in 1993 to train qualified specialists for law enforcement, state institutions, and enterprises. Over time, the institution evolved into a full-fledged Institute of Law, providing comprehensive legal education and practical training.
The Institute hosts a legal clinic offering free legal assistance to vulnerable groups and giving students hands-on experience in the legal profession. Its campus includes educational and administrative buildings, a dormitory, sports facilities, a canteen, computer labs, specialized classrooms for forensic and legal disciplines, and green spaces for student relaxation. Notable features include the Chapel of Saint Tatiana and “live corners” with wildlife, fostering both professional and spiritual development.
The Institute has produced many prominent lawyers in the Mykolaiv region and across Ukraine, and it continues to be a center for academic excellence, practical training, and student development.
Since September 2025, Mark Romanovych Rudyk serves as Director of the Institute.
