The Department of Intellectual Property Law and Patent Justice is a part of the Faculty of Advocacy and Anti-Corruption Activities and provides full-time and part-time training at most faculties and institutes of the National University "Odesa Law Academy".
The main goal of the department activity is the formation of the students' knowledge system in the field of intellectual property law, training of highly qualified scientific and academic personnel, as well as participation in the university educational and research work.
The department teaches the following courses: "Intellectual Property Law", "Current Issues of Intellectual Property Rights Protection", "Judicial Protection of Intellectual Property Rights", "International Legal Protection of Intellectual Property", "International and European Intellectual Property Law", "Corporate Law", "Judicial Protection of Corporate Rights", "Issues of Corporate Law", "Alternative Resolution of Legal Disputes", "Dispute Settlement with Judge Participation", "Lawyer Participation in the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights", "International Patent Justice", "Internet Law ", "Media Law”, “Conceptual Issues of Virtual Property", "Modern Private International Law", "Academic Integrity", "Copyright Law in Journalism", "Copyright Law in Advertising and PR", "Citizen Journalism", "Professional Ethics and Academic Integrity", "Scientific Copywriting and Academic Integrity".
The Department of Intellectual Property Law and Patent Justice actively researches into the modern issues of intellectual property law. Department researchers work at the scientific topic: "People-centered approach in ensuring intellectual property rights in the digital age" (for the period 2021-2025).
