The Department of Software Engineering is part of the Faculty of Cybersecurity and Information Technologies and provides training for full-time and part-time students across all faculties of the National University "Odesa Law Academy".
The primary goal of the department is to provide high-quality computer education to students and to implement modern information technologies in the university’s educational process.
The department offers courses as part of the training of specialists in the following fields: C7 “Journalism,” D4 “Management and Administration,” D8 “Law,” and F “Information Technologies.” Within the licensed fields, numerous courses are taught, including: “Information Technologies,” “Information Technologies in the Work of a Sociologist,” “Information Technologies in the Work of a Political Scientist,” “Information Systems and Technologies,” “Operating Systems,” “Object-Oriented Programming,” “Fundamentals of Software Engineering,” “Algorithmization and Programming,” “Databases,” “Web Programming,” and others.
The content of the courses taught at the Department of Software Engineering is aimed at providing students with higher education in both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in developing, implementing, and maintaining software systems, efficiently using modern information technologies and global information resources, as well as applying software, technical, and organizational methods to ensure the quality, reliability, and security of software.
The selection of courses is formed considering the specific features of each faculty of the National University “Odesa Law Academy.”
