BORIS KORMYCH
The Department of Maritime, Customs and Information Law is a part of the Faculty of Judicial and International Law and provides full-time and part-time training at all faculties and institutes of the National University "Odesa Law Academy".
The main goal of the department work is the formation of the students' knowledge system in the field of maritime, customs, information and transport law, training of highly qualified scientific and academic personnel, as well as participation in the university research work.
The department teaches the following courses: Maritime Law, Seaport Regulations, International Maritime Law, Maritime Private Law, International legal regulation of maritime transportation and global security, Maritime Policy of Ukraine, Customs Law, EU Customs Law, International Customs Law, Customs Law and Smuggling Prevention, Customs Control Arrangement, Information Law, Transport Law.
The above mentioned courses intend to develop students' theoretical knowledge system and acquire practical skills in maintenance of maritime management, information activities, state customs affairs, transportation industry with regard to international and European standards, as well as to priorities of Ukrainian legislation reforms and law enforcement identified by the Association Agreement between Ukraine and EU, signed in 2014.
The range of courses is formed taking into account the peculiarities of each faculty (institute) of the NU "OLA".
