FUTURE UKRAINE is a new DAAD programme that aims to support Ukrainian universities and provide young researchers with opportunities to contribute to the rebuilding of Ukraine and its scientific landscape.
Thanks to the programme, you will be able to work on your research in Germany for six months and receive a monthly stipend to cover your living expenses. You will also receive a round-trip travel allowance and insurance.
Who can apply?
Highly qualified Ukrainian postgraduate students (master's students), doctoral students, postdoctoral researchers (postdocs, university professors) working/studying at higher education institutions in Ukraine, regardless of the country in which they currently reside.
What can be funded?
The programme provides funding for a research stay at a state or state-recognised higher education institution or non-university research institution in Germany, which is carried out in coordination with a research organisation/supervisor in Germany. Project proposals in all academic disciplines are eligible for funding.
Duration of funding
Funding is available for a period of one month to a maximum of six months. Please indicate in your application for how long you would like to receive funding. The period of funding will be determined during the selection process by the selection committee. The committee will take into account your work plan.
Applications must be submitted at least three months before the planned research stay.
Possible funding period: 1.3.2024 - 30.6.2025.
The main selection criteria are
- A convincing and well-planned research project,
- academic achievements.
