We would like to inform you about the launch of a call for applications for research fellowships and funding of academic events במסגרת the programmes of the Passau International Centre for Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies (PICAIS), University of Passau (Germany).
Researchers holding a doctoral degree (PhD) are invited to apply, including both early-career scholars (postdoctoral researchers) and experienced international researchers.
The programmes are open to the following fields: humanities, social sciences, economics, law, computer science, and mathematics.
Within the framework of the call, the following opportunities are available:
1. Research-in-Residence Fellowships
Fellowships for conducting individual research at the University of Passau for a duration of 2 to 6 months. The funding covers accommodation, travel (mobility), and research-related expenses. A mandatory requirement for participation is the availability of a host at the University of Passau.
2. Academic Event Funding
Funding for organising academic events in Passau aimed at fostering international cooperation, establishing academic networks, and exchanging scholarly ideas. Applications must be submitted with the participation of a representative of the University of Passau as the main organiser, while external participants act as co-organisers.
Application deadline: 15 May 2026.
