From the 15-th to the 19-th of April of 2013 in the framework of TEMPUS program project named "Support of innovations by improving the regulatory environment of higher education in Ukraine" (in implementation of which the National University "Odessa Law Academy" is involved) a study visit of associate professor of business law and process department Mrs. Dina Ziatina and associate professor, deputy director of the Intellectual Property Institute of the National University "Odessa Law Academy" Mr. Georgiy Serdyuk to the Gdansk Technical University (Poland) has taken place.
Representatives of the National University "Odessa Law Academy" got acquainted with the operation of Centre Knowledge and Business of Gdansk Polytechnic University. Also, they visited the Gdansk Science and Technology Park, Centre of Nanotechnology, got acquainted with the various programs to support innovation, actively participated in the meetings of the working group, which aims to study the experience of Poland in the commercialization of innovative research of university institutions and the establishing of the enterprises for implementation of innovations (spin-off).
During the visit, also there was a meeting with the vice-rector of the Gdansk Polytechnic University, Professor Josef Sienkiewicz, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Physics and Mathematics, Professor Wojciech Sadowski, Director of Center of Knowledge and Entrepreneurship Damian Kuzniewski, coordinators of the "Master of Innovation" project Joanna Pniewska and Beata Zakrzewska, representative of Gdansk Science and Technology Mr. Piotr Maksys and others.
Summarizing the results of the visit the recommendations regarding improvement of the current Ukrainian legislation governing the commercialization of innovations are subject for preparation.
