From October 13 till October 20, 2013 within the project “Support of innovations through improvement of regulatory framework for higher education in Ukraine” of TEMPUS program, in realization of which National University “Odesa Law Academy” participates, study visit of Dean of the Faculty of international legal relations associate professor of the Departmen of Marine and Customs LawVitaliy Serafimov and Director of the Institute of prosecution and investigation associate professor of the Department of Criminal Law Vadim Podgorodinskiy to the Coventry University (Great Britain) was held.
Representatives of National University “Odesa Law Academy” acquainted with the work of Faculty of Engineering and Computing of Coventry University, departments and enterprises of Coventry University which participate in commercialization of innovations; took part in the meetings of study group aimed at studying experience of Great Britain in the fiend of commercialization of innovation researches of university institutions and creation of subsidiaries for implementation the innovations (spin off).
During the visit they met the Pro-Vice Chancellor Ian Dunn and teaching staff of the University,particularly with the Commercial Director Professor Mike Dickison, Senior Lecturer (Operations Management) & Course Director – MSc Manufacturing Engineering Dr. Chris Smith, Senior Research Assistant, Research Assistant Dr. Guoqing Jin and others.
According to the results of the visit recommendations to improve the current Ukrainian legislation, regulating the commercialization of innovations is planning.
