For the academic year 2024-2025, the Czech government offers 130 scholarships for countries included in the list of bilateral development cooperation programmes. Out of this quota, 20 scholarships are intended for candidates from Ukraine, including 15 places for studying in Czech and 5 places for studying in English.
These state scholarships are intended to cover the standard duration of the study:
- a Master's degree programme taught in Czech with a one-year preparatory course in Czech (which is combined with other core subjects). State scholarships in this category are awarded to graduates of bachelor's programmes.
- Master's or PhD programmes taught in English. State scholarships in this category are awarded to graduates of bachelor's or master's degree programmes.
Depending on the field of study, applicants are usually required to pass entrance exams at the relevant university. Successful completion of the entrance exams is a prerequisite for the scholarship award.
Duration: depending on the chosen programme, 2-3 years.
The scholarship covers the costs associated with staying and studying. A monthly stipend of CZK 16,000 is provided.
