The Free State of Bavaria will fund scholarships for the academic year 2024/25.

Graduates (with the appropriate citizenship) from Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Ukraine, and the Czech Republic are eligible to apply.

The scholarships are intended to finance master's programs, doctoral programs, or one-year research internships at higher education institutions in Bavaria. The annual scholarship can usually be extended twice for up to 3 years. The scholarship is paid monthly (€ 934) and amounts to € 11.208 per year. Students who have at least one child receive €1.094 per month, which amounts to €13.128 per year.

The purpose of the annual scholarship program is to support scientific cooperation and academic exchange between Bavaria and the countries of Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe.

Completed application documents must be submitted to BAYHOST by the deadline using the online form. This is the application deadline. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
