The Mitacs Globalink Research Internship programme is an international initiative for international students from Australia, Brazil, China, France, India, Germany, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia and Ukraine to undertake research internships in Canada. Each year, from May to September, selected participants participate in a 12-week research internship under the supervision of Canadian university professors in various scientific disciplines. The internship programme is available at more than 70 universities in Canada.
Mitacs is a Canadian non-profit organisation that helps students and researchers from different countries to gain unique professional experience in Canada.
Mitacs is fully funding 600 research internships for Ukraine in 2022-2024.
On 10 August 2023, the selection process for the Mitacs Globalink Research Internship (Mitacs GRI) programme for 2024 for 3rd and 4th year students of Ukrainian universities started. Students of various academic disciplines, from engineering, technology and mathematics to the humanities and social sciences, are eligible to apply.
The programme covers flights, accommodation, meals, health insurance and a number of activities for applicants.
The application deadline is 21 September 2023.
