The GKS International Reconstruction Talent Scholarships (Korean Language Training Programme) is a scholarship programme of the Korean government aimed at training Ukrainian citizens for the post-war reconstruction of the country. The Korean government provides Ukrainian citizens with 100-year scholarships to study Korean.
Along with learning Korean, the programme participants will also be taught one of five specialised or general courses:
1) General (general study of the Korean language);
2) medicine (healthcare);
3) urban reconstruction;
4) artificial intelligence software;
5) energy (environment).
The scholarship package includes: (i) Full payment of Korean language tuition fees; (ii) Round-trip airfare.
Eligibility requirements:
1) Citizenship of Ukraine;
2) complete general secondary education;
3) age under 25 (born after 1 September 1999);
4) Grades for all years of previous studies meet the following criteria:
- Percentage mark of 80% or higher, or within the first 20% of the ranking
- Grade point average of 2.64/4.0; 2.80/4.3; 2.94/4.5- 3.23/5.0 or higher.
The Ministry, together with the Korean Education Centre, accepts documents from candidates prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Korean side until 20 May 2024.
The package of documents is submitted to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in electronic and paper forms (documents are sent in both forms).
