TOUCH is an excellent new doctoral programme run by the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) to train future mental health researchers.
Objective:
To recruit and train 24 doctoral students in four main thematic areas of research in mental health and well-being;
- Promoting mental health and well-being across the life course.
Transdisciplinary approach to the determinants of mental health and well-being.
- Multilevel strategies for assessment and intervention in mental health and well-being: from genomics to personomics
- Governance in mental health systems: participation, education and community.
The TOUCH project is the first step towards the implementation of a long-term collaboration agreement within the Mental Health Research Network, one of the Communities of Excellence in Strategic Challenges (CORE, for its Catalan acronym), supported by the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). The project will be a key tool for building the necessary capacity at UAB to implement successful research projects in complex and strategic areas through a collaborative, interdisciplinary and innovative approach.
What does TOUCH offer?
- More than 60 opportunities to conduct research projects with renowned research supervisors.
- A 3-year full-time contract (37.5 hours/week) and a gross salary of EUR 2.375/month (the salary will be the same for 3 years).
- The international and cross-sectoral aspects of the programme will be strengthened through collaboration with several associated partner organisations, including universities, private companies, social enterprises and associations, research centres, clusters, foundations and mental health associations.
