On September 27, 2023, at the meeting of the Presidium of the Ukrainian Association of Criminal Law, the results of the First Competition of Scientific Papers dedicated to the memory of Professor V. Tatsiy were summarized. This year's competition is dedicated to the first anniversary of the death of the founder and long-time leader of the Association.

Based on the results of studying and reviewing the scientific articles submitted to the Competition, the Presidium of the Association decided to:

1. In the nomination "Criminal Law" to award:

Diploma of the first degree - to Viacheslav Tuliakov for the article "Approximation of the Criminal Law of Ukraine to the Law of the European Union (methodology of the issue)";

✅ Second degree Diploma - to Serhii Bagirov for the article ""Reckless Negligence" in the Current Conditions of Criminal Law Reform: Problem and Ways to Solve It";

✅ Diploma of the III degree:

Mykola Rubashchenko for the article "Public Calls for Criminal Offenses in Ukraine and Some European Countries";

Oksana Stepanenko for the article "Cyberviolence as a Form of Domestic Violence";

Anna Politova and Mykhailo Akimov for the article "On some issues concerning section 4.5. "Crimes Against Human Will and Dignity" of the Draft Criminal Code of Ukraine"

2. In the nomination "Criminology" to award:

✅ First Degree Diploma - Oleg Novikov for the article "Regional Peculiarities of Distribution of Violations of Road Safety Rules or Operation of Transport by Persons Driving Vehicles (Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)";

✅ Diploma of the second degree - Yuriy Kurilyuk and Serhiy Khalimon for the article "Criminal profile of migrant smugglers across the State Border of Ukraine".

3. To award certificates of appreciation:

Lilia Timofeeva for the article "Modern challenges in combating rape, harassment and other criminal offenses against sexual freedom";

Vyacheslav Borysov and Oleksandr Pashchenko for the article "Scientific Achievements of V. Tatsiy in the Field of Law";

Vasyl Kyrychko for the article "Conclusions of the Supreme Court on the subject of abuse of influence (Part 2 of Article 3692 of the Criminal Code): a critical theoretical analysis";

Oleg Gurtovenko for the article "The Basel Convention of 1989 in the Context of Constitutional and Criminal Law of Ukraine: Comparison of Human Approaches and Artificial Intelligence Results";

Victoria Babanina for her article "Legal Principles as the Basis of the Criminal Law System of Ukraine".
