From 1 September 2018 to 31 December 2022, the National University "Odesa Law Academy" implemented the Jean Monnet Module "The EU as a Global Actor and Agent of Change" (No. 599761-EPP-1-2018-1-UA-EPPJMO-MODULE). This module aims to improve teaching and research on the European Union's foreign policy and provide students with practical skills. The National University "Odesa Law Academy" ensured the participation of teachers in this project. Among them are professors and associate professors of the Department of International and European Law: Surilova O.O., Akimenko Y.Y., Dronov V.Y., Manuilova K.V., Grushko M.V., Vladyshevska V.V., Grib G.M., Belogubova O.O., Professor of the Department of Intellectual Property and Patent Justice O.I. Kharytonova and others. The project was coordinated by Professor Bihniak O.V.

The National University "Odesa Law Academy" has developed and implemented the courses "Diplomatic and Consular Law", "History of Diplomacy", "EU Diplomacy", "Diplomatic Protocol", which were taught to law students during 2019-2022 and continue to be taught in the future. The University also teaches the following disciplines: International Law, International Law Theory, Modern International Law, Council of Europe Law, European Union Law, EU Institutional Law, EU Competition Law, EU Internal Market Law, as compulsory or optional components depending on the speciality and faculty. In total, more than 500 students annually acquire in-depth knowledge of EU law and engage in research activities.

The scientific and practical events facilitated the discussion of topical issues of international relations, harmonisation of legislation and human rights, allowing students and teachers to enrich their knowledge, exchange views and perspectives on cooperation with the European Union.
The project contributes to the competitiveness of students by preparing them for real challenges in the field of international relations and European integration. In addition, these activities contribute to strengthening international cooperation by developing the exchange of information and ideas between participants from different countries. This stimulates cultural exchange and contributes to the formation of a global community that develops on the basis of common values and principles.
