The National University ‘Odesa Law Academy’ has confirmed its high position in the scientific field by entering the international Transparent Ranking (January 2025), which is based on the number of citations in Google Scholar. According to the ranking, our university took 21st place among 107 Ukrainian higher education institutions. The citation value is 62,316.
The Transparent Ranking is a special ranking compiled by the Cybermetrics Lab (Institute of Politics and Public Administration, CSIC, Spain). The ranking evaluates the scientific activity of more than 6300 universities by the number of citations in Google Scholar profiles. Data for the ranking is collected twice a year (in January and July).
The Transparent Ranking methodology is based on the analysis of Google Scholar Citations (GSC), where the 310 most cited university profiles are selected. To exclude anomalies, the first 20 profiles are not taken into account. The total number of citations of the remaining profiles determines the university's place in the world ranking.
The inclusion of the National University ‘Odesa Law Academy’ in the Transparent Ranking demonstrates the active scientific activity of the university's teachers and researchers. A high level of citation is an important indicator of the quality of scientific research and international influence of the university.
Thanks to the systematic work of the university staff, the efforts of scientists and integration into the international academic space, the National University ‘Odesa Law Academy’ is strengthening its position among the leading universities in Ukraine and the world. The results of the ranking are a confirmation of the quality of scientific work and active participation of the university in the global academic discourse.
