National University “Odesa Law Academy” has joined the international project “Training Legal Professionals in EU Law for Ukraine’s EU Integration”, which has received funding from the Swedish Institute (Svenska institutet).
The project is coordinated by Örebro University (Sweden) in cooperation with Ukrainian partner institutions, including National University “Odesa Law Academy”, the National School of Judges of Ukraine, the Notary Chamber of Ukraine, the Prosecutor’s Training Centre of Ukraine, and the Ukrainian National Bar Association.
The project aims to strengthen the professional capacity of Ukrainian legal professionals in the field of European Union law and to promote knowledge of European legal standards, case law of CJEU and courts of EU member states. The initiative will include educational activities and training programmes for judges, prosecutors, attorneys and notaries, thereby contributing to the development of Ukraine’s legal system in the context of European integration.
The project has commenced in 2025 and will run until 2027.
“The Swedish Institute is a government agency that funds cooperation between Swedish and Ukrainian organisations and individuals. Through projects on the ground and educational initiatives, we contribute to Ukraine’s reconstruction and its EU rapprochement - while also strengthening resilience in both Ukraine and Sweden”, says Madeleine Sjöstedt, Director-General of the Swedish Institute.
Participation in this project will further enhance the international cooperation of National University “Odesa Law Academy” and contribute to the training of legal professionals capable of working effectively within the framework of Ukraine’s approximation to the legal standards of the European Union.
