The issue of comprehensive verification of the state of companies and the criminal-legal consequences of such activity in relation to human rights violations was the topic of the International Conference, which was held at the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences of the University of Castilla La Mancha.

Victimology of Russian Aggression: Europe in Times of Turbulence” - that was the theme of the open lecture of vice-rector for international relations, professor Viacheslav Tuliakov for academia and students of Tubingen University (Germany).

The 13th Network Europe Conference “European integration perspectives in times of global crisis” was held in Athens (Greece) with representatives of law and political science, economists and politicians from Switzerland, Belgium, UK, Spain, Greece, Croatia, Serbia, Germany, Moldova, Ukraine.  The conference was organized by the Partner of National University “Odesa Law Academy”  - Europa Institut of Zurich University (Switzerland) with National and Kapodistan University of Athens.

The 17th International Symposium on Victimology of the World Society for Victimology was held on June 5-9, 2022 in San Sebastian (Spain). More than 400 experts in the field of crime prevention and treatment of victims of crime gathered from around the world to analyze the current state of humane treatment of victims of crime. Due to the basic issues of the characteristics of victims of crime in the digital age, the Symposium was much broader: from the analysis of victims of sexual violence in Catholic networks and restorative justice, to the organization of compensation schemes for victims of international crime.

"Against the Death Penalty: Opinio Juris and International Law", under this name, the World Congress of the International Society for Social Defence and Humane Social Policy was held on May 19-20, 2022. Under the leadership of President Professor Luis Arroyo Zapatero, the Congress spent two days examining the scientific and academic perspectives of combating the death penalty, that is notified as criminal penalty in the laws of half the world and tends to spread.

ECONOMIC AND HUMANITARIAN EFFECTS OF THE WAR IN UKRAINE:  LESSONS OF RESISTANCE was the theme of the International Conference at CUNEF University (Madrid). It was moderated by Adoración Álvaro Moya, dean of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law and professor at CUNEF University and Isabel Maravall Buckwalter, professor at CUNEF University.

Vice-Rector for International Relations of the University, Professor Viacheslav Tuliakov, met with the President of the European Public Law Organization, Professor Spiridon Flogaitis, and members of the Spanish branch of the European Public Law Group, chaired by Professor Luis Maria Diez Picasso, judge of the Supreme Court of Spain.

Professor Viacheslav Tuliakov, has taken part in the Theses Tribunal for the Defense of Master's works of Students applying to the Master's Degree in International and European Business Law of the University of Pontifica Comillas, Madrid Spain.

NU OLA Vice-Rector for International relations Viacheslav Tuliakov has met with practitioners and students of IE University School of International and Public Affairs, in their Segovia campus, Spain.

"A wonderful new world? The future of international relations after COVID-19 and the war in Ukraine" was the topic of a professional discussion with members of the Executive Committee of the World Association of Directors of Schools of International Relations (APSIA): APSIA President Jim Levinson, Yale University Jackson Institute Director, Maria Aransas Gonzalez Laya Dean of the School of International Relations Sciences Po, Paris, as well as the Rector of the University of IE and the Dean of the School of Global and Public Relations, Manuel Munis, Madrid. The discussion focused not only on Huxley's predictions about law and technology, but also on the future of international relations after two years of global pandemics and the recent Russian invasion to Ukraine.

Till March 29 the registration for the exchange program with the National Taiwan University, College of Law is open for NU OLA students (“081 "Law" and 293 "International Law" specializations). Two students can be selected. The exchange program goes during the 22/23 academic year.

Within the framework of the CRIMHUM project, we received the latest cases with a complete fundamental set of equipment for our masters, future judges, prosecutors and investigators.

The aim of the CRIMHUM project is to modernize teaching process in the most conservative field of jurisprudence by developing and implementing a specialized master's program in criminal justice. Provision of material and technical base is one of the leading directions of the project.

On 10 December 2021, at the initiative of the Department of International and European Law of the National University "Odesa Law Academy", the annual All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference "Human Rights - a Priority of the Modern State" was held.

The module 'The EU's Comprehensive Approach to Security: Tackling Evolving Threats, Building a Strong Security Ecosystem' received high marks from experts and was recognised as one of the winners of the competition held by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Commission. The project will be jointly implemented by the Department of Journalism and the Department of Maritime and Customs Law of the National University "Odesa Law Academy". As explained by the module leader, Professor of the Department of Journalism Tetiana Maliarenko, the core of the module is an innovative course on European Security, which will be jointly taught in English for Master's students of International Journalism and Public Administration and Governance by the faculty of the Departments of Journalism and Maritime and Customs Law.

The Department of Journalism at the Faculty of Journalism of the National University "Odesa Law Academy" organized an international seminar titled "For A Strong Digital Europe: Integrating Research into Policy" in collaboration with the Ukrainian Institute for Crisis Management and Conflict Resolution NGO. The seminar was conducted from 3-5 November.

Within the framework of the cooperation of National University "Odesa Law Academy" with the Europa Institut at the University of Zurich (Switzerland), an intensive training course on European integration was organized from 04 till 22 October 2021, the central topic of which was Association agreement European Union – Ukraine.

In September 2021, the National University "Odesa Law Academy" signed a cooperation agreement with the Baltic International Academy, the discussion and preparation of which lasted for recent years.

Within the framework of the CRIMHUM project 598471-EPP-1-2018-1-AT-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP "Modernization of master's programs for future judges, prosecutors, investigators, taking into account European human rights standards", to conduct internal and external evaluation of the specified project, dissemination of positive experience and best practices obtained within the project, from September 26 to 30, 2021 at the National University "Odesa Law Academy" First Summer School took place.

On 7th June, 2021 at the National University "Odessa Law Academy" was a lecture by Angelo Villanissi Ferraro, Professor of European Private Law and Erasmus coordinator at the Faculty of Law, Economics and Humanities of the Mediterranean University in Reggio Calabria (Italy).

A three-day international conference on "Governance for the Sustainability of Digital Europe" was held this week at the National University "Odesa Law Academy". More than 40 national and foreign scholars, journalists and public figures from the United States, Sweden, Spain, Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Ukraine took part in the conference in offline and online formats. One of the features of the conference is that master's students majoring in International Journalism and Public Management and Administration were also involved in the preparation and discussion of the reports.
