Thanks to the memorandum of cooperation and joint efforts of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine (NRFU) and the Dutch Research Council (NWO), scientists in Ukraine will have the opportunity to collaborate with scientists from the Kingdom of the Netherlands and thus continue their research career in difficult conditions by participating in the competition "Call for additional NWO grant opportunities for Ukrainian scientists: NWO-NRFU Partnership Initiative" in 2023.

For the past 14 years, Ukraine has been actively participating in the programmes of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), one of the world's largest educational organisations, which provides mobility for students, postgraduates and teachers, and enables talented young people from all over the world to undertake research internships or advanced training in Germany.

The Mitacs Globalink Research Internship programme is an international initiative for international students from Australia, Brazil, China, France, India, Germany, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia and Ukraine to undertake research internships in Canada. Each year, from May to September, selected participants participate in a 12-week research internship under the supervision of Canadian university professors in various scientific disciplines. The internship programme is available at more than 70 universities in Canada.

Within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation concluded between the National University "Odesa Law Academy" and the University of Passau (Germany), students of all specialities have the opportunity to study at the German university free of charge.

The University of Passau is one of the top 20% of the world's leading universities and regularly holds the highest positions in academic rankings in Bavaria and the German-speaking world, for example, in the fields of law, business and economics, computer science, communication sciences, political science and cultural studies. Representative surveys, such as the Teaching Quality Monitoring, regularly show a high level of student satisfaction.

The Free State of Bavaria will fund scholarships for the academic year 2024/25.

Graduates (with the appropriate citizenship) from Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Ukraine, and the Czech Republic are eligible to apply.

For the academic year 2024-2025, the Czech government offers 130 scholarships for countries included in the list of bilateral development cooperation programmes. Out of this quota, 20 scholarships are intended for candidates from Ukraine, including 15 places for studying in Czech and 5 places for studying in English.
